Denim Chic

             

Recently, the Levi's Brand announced another artist collaboration--they've linked up before with Andy Warhol, Damien Hirst, and Shepard Fairey--now, it's Sagmeister's turn. Sagmeister Inc., a graphic design firm in NYC, has worked with the likes of Velvet Underground, Rolling Stones, Lou Reed, and more. Stefan Sagmeister, the brains of this firm, thought about the Levi's 501s worn by celebrated artists Basquiat, Pollock, and Warhol, and paid homage to this artist's uniform by deconstructing it, stripping it down to its purest elements.

Following the same train of thought of reinventing denim, I thought about how this jean material is pretty much a casual fabric--and how Spring would be just the perfect opportunity to take denim 

and make it chic.
